We strive to make your booking experience as flexible and accommodating as possible. Understanding that plans can change, we offer a generous cancellation policy and optional trip insurance for when flexibility is paramount.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Free Cancellation up to 6 Days: You can cancel or reschedule your trip at no charge up to 6 days (144 hours) prior to the departure time.

  • Within 6 Days: We cannot allow cancellations or rescheduling within 6 days of your trip. This policy applies regardless of when the booking was made.

  • Rescheduling: If you choose to reschedule, this will be subject to availability, ensuring we can accommodate your new preferred time without impacting other guests.

We recommend considering our cancellation insurance to cover unexpected changes such as illness or other unforeseen events. This option provides you with flexibility and ensures that you can enjoy your experience with us without worry.

While our tours are designed to be inclusive, accommodating guests of all ages, the specific activities featured, such as snorkeling or kayaking, may vary in accessibility and physical demands.

  • Please note that entering the kayaks, or ocean for snorkeling require a degree of mobility to manage entry and exit.

Pets Policy

While we are dog lovers and understand the joy pets bring to families, we must prioritize the comfort and safety of all our guests as well as the preservation of our boats. Therefore, pets are not allowed on our regular eco tours due to the potential for increased wear and tear and because not all guests may be comfortable around animals.

Private Charters: For those who wish to bring their family pet on an adventure, we offer the option on private charters. You can include your pet for an additional fee of $75, ensuring that everyone in the family gets to enjoy the experience together.

Thank you for understanding our need to balance the interests of all our guests and the maintenance of our vessels.

BYOB Alcohol Guidelines:

  • Beer and Wine Welcome: Guests are welcome to bring beer or wine aboard for consumption after the tours activities. For safety and compliance with Coast Guard regulations, please present your beverages to the crew during boarding. Our crew will serve you to ensure both passenger safety and compliance with federal laws.

  • Glass and Hard Liquor: For the safety of all on board, we ask that you avoid bringing glass beer bottles. We also recommend avoiding hard liquor, as it can be challenging to monitor effects, especially in combination with heat and physical activity.

  • Consumption Monitoring: The crew reserves the right to restrict alcohol consumption to maintain a safe and family-friendly environment.

Smoking Policy:

  • No Smoking or Vaping: To ensure the health and comfort of all our passengers, smoking cigarettes, cigars, or vaping is not permitted during the tour.

  • Federal Regulations on Marijuana: Please note that despite state laws, as a federally regulated vessel, we must adhere to federal laws that prohibit the use of marijuana in any form aboard.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Punctuality

To ensure timely departures and respect for all our guests, please arrive at the boat and be ready to board 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Regrettably, we cannot delay departure for guests who arrive late and are unable to offer refunds or reschedule missed trips unless trip insurance was purchased.

Parking

Parking availability varies significantly depending on the time of year and time of day. During peak periods, such as holidays, finding parking can be particularly challenging. To avoid stress and ensure a relaxed start to your adventure, we recommend allowing ample time to park. The area around the dock is scenic and worth exploring, so arriving early offers the added bonus of potentially spotting fish or manatees!

Best Private Charter Girls trip in Key West. We had the best time on Cowfish. Saw dolphins and explored a sandbar. Captain Dan took great care of us and we had a fantastic time. Gorgeous sunset. Chill vibes. Highly recommend.

This private outing was a highlight of our keys get away! Honest Eco’s Cowfish was moored right behind Waterfront Brewery for easy access from Old Town. Victor our captain, skillfully guided us to a beautiful sandbar far away from the large tour boats. We watched the sun go down while returning and Victor perfectly timed a stop to catch the sunset.

Book Now...it's Fantastic! Must do! Worth every dollar and more! Noah and Sara are informative, fantastic and fun! I saw many of my fav fish; huge angel, porcupine, butterfly and cowfish! We would have stayed on the sand bar all day! The dolphins were playful and showing off! It was the perfect excursion! Their fresh fruit was sweet & delish! So glad we booked this tour! Bring cash to tip...they deserve it! Beyond a memorable trip!

Highly recommended Honest Eco for snorkeling and sandbar. My husband and I went out for a private tour on the Cowfish. We definitely give Victor 5 stars for fun, music, relaxation, turtle sightings, snorkeling, and soft sand. We love supporting small, family owned businesses!

We booked a trip on the Cowfish for a private trip with snorkeling and swimming at a sandbar for my family of 4. Captain Andrew was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the area. We were able to see dolphins on our way to the reef. It was my 9 year old’s first snorkeling experience and one she won’t forget thanks to Andrew. He was patient and kind in making sure her gear fit just right. He guided her through snorkeling giving my husband and I a chance to enjoy snorkeling too. The snacks were great too! It was a trip my kids won’t soon forget! We highly recommend Honest Eco!

Dan is a great captain and has a wealth of information about wildlife. I would highly recommend the private tour on the Cowfish. He was able to get closer to the sandbar than all of the other boats.

Best Private Charter Best private charter in Key West! We have done many of Honest Eco's Kayak snorkel tours over the years, but this time we wanted to do something more intimate and relaxing. Captain Katie was amazing! There was 4 of us on Cowfish which was perfect size for what we wanted. She took us out to the sandbar and enjoyed the amazingly beautiful sunset as we traveled back. Katie was not only a great captain she also was a great host! We had food catered for Date and Thyme Organic Cafe and Market. Our food spread was great! Can't wait to do it all over again next time!

"All of the Above" Tour was the highlight of our vacation We found Honest Eco by looking for environmentally-friendly tours of the wildlife in Key West. The "All of the Above" tour has it all: sailing, dolphin-watching, kayaking in the mangroves, and snorkeling in the sponge garden/reef. We were absolutely delighted with all the wildlife we saw: lemon shark, nurse shark, sting ray, huge barracuda, lionfish, cowfish, parrotfish, coral, sponges, pelicans, cormorants, and an osprey diving. We loved that our captain and guide were both marine biologists, who taught us so much about the unique ecosystem of the Florida Keys. (Which includes the third-largest reef in the world!)

Fun ! We enjoyed an awesome boat ride out to the dolphin playground with Squids awesome crew. Watching the dolphins play in the clear water was breathtaking and unforgettable. The teens loved the whole experience! The snorkeling was cool but I thought we would've snorkeled a bit longer..... Maybe it was too windy. We saw a Ray, Cowfish, and something else I couldn't remember. Would do again in a heartbeat.

Great people, great fun! Went on a 5+ hour kayak, dolphin watch, and snorkel. This is a great tour. First, Captain Billy and Brady were very friendly and easy going, as well as very informative about the environment and wildlife. Billy designed this electric boat (Squid) which is quiet and environmentally friendly. Brady majored in marine biology and was really great to talk with. We kayaked through mangroves and saw numerous birds, tree crabs, and even a snake. We then moved on to watch a dolphin who was just as curious about us as were about him. Finally, a nice snorkel in the sponge garden complete with groupers, sting rays, cowfish, and lots of bright tropicals. Brady sent us pictures of our snorkel the next day. To top it off, the vegetarian lunch was superb...absolutely top notch. And, we always had access to fresh water, vegetables, and fruit. One thing that really impressed me was the quality of all the equipment (kayaks, paddles, masks, snorkels, fins, even wetsuits if you wanted). Everything was super clean and in great condition. But what really makes this a must do are the people. Billy and Brady made us feel welcome from the moment we walked up to Squid. They were so accommodating and helpful and easy to talk to. Can't say enough good things about these two fellows and the whole Honest Eco experience. Thanks for a great day on and in the water! Aaron & Kim

Had a great time! Billy and crew were friendly, responsible, and approachable. The boat was specifically built for this experience, and it is beautiful and comfortable, and the spicy hummus and fruit and iced metal water bottles were lovely. The crew were very flexible and accommodating of what worked best for the passengers. I saw them patiently explain things for passengers who were nervous, or new to snorkeling, and they had all the equipment on board that you need for adults and kids. I liked that it was a smaller group, with a more personalized experience. Be prepared to tip, in cash or through Airbnb. The only thing that holds me back is that in the Keys, you can go to better snorkeling at John Pennekamp or Looe Key on an impersonal mass tourism boat for $35-40. The boat gets there faster, and you see more varieties of fish and coral directly on the reef. You're not going to see dolphins up close with that kind of boat, and if dolphins tag along on the wake, the boat is not going to stop for them as this boat does. So as a bare-bones budget traveler, price matters. But, it's not as comfortable or as upscale, nor personalized or flexible at all, and if you want to go offshore of Key West specifically, this tour is a good option. It is great to be able to choose an ecologically responsible tour, with staff who clearly have a passion for the ocean and what they're doing, and to see a preserve that is beautiful and very special. Billy had a lot of communication on his radio with other boats as to the whereabouts of the dolphins, and having such a network is good not only for the safety of the wildlife, but also for the experiences of the passengers. The trip was relaxed and pleasant, with more views and space onboard, in a way the sardine-packed park boat tours aren't. Saw a few dolphins, TONS of lobster, a cowfish, moray eels, sponges, and some of the other typical fish for the area. The area was much shallower than I'm used to - only about 6ft! This made it a bit easier to get up close to things, the way you'd normally need a scuba tank to do. If I could afford to, I would definitely do it again!

Highlight of my trip! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dolphin watch tour. It was my first time snorkeling. The instructor, Ange, was very knowledgable and patient. She taught us how to put on the gear, and led us through the water. I was happy to see a grouper, lionfish, and cowfish, among others. I highly recommend this trip, and I would love to go back and try the kayaking tour in the future.
