I chose the 4hr dolphin, snorkeling, and sandbar adventure with Honest Eco bc they are environmentally conscious and also bc they are marine biologists - I felt I would learn the most about this fragile ecosystem on their tour. SQUID was a comfortable, stable vessel to be on. The captain and first mate did a great job explaining everything. We were surrounded by 270 degree rain and rain clouds, but the captain was determined to find a good place for us to snorkel, and she did! Dolphin watching and snorkeling were a lot of fun, and I'm certainly going to do that again. I wish I'd been told that I could use goggles to explore the creatures in the sand at the sandbar; we all just stood around and talked, and I didn't get the purpose of that. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 200/10 — An absolutely AMAZING experience! We did the snorkel, dolphin watch, and sandbar excursion with Honest Eco in Key West, and Kristin and Heather were absolutely incredible! I truly cannot say enough good things about them or this experience. Their knowledge of the Keys, the ecosystem, marine life, and the area in general was amazing. They didn’t just take us out on the water — they taught us so much along the way, and their passion for what they do made the entire experience even better. We also got VERY lucky with the wildlife! While snorkeling, we saw several sharks, several stingray, tons of beautiful reef fish,  3 gigantic grouper, lobster, conch, and starfish. 🦈🐠🦞⭐️ We even got to see a couple of dolphins hunting in the harbor, which was incredible! This excursion was part of my birthday trip, and Kristin and Heather truly helped make my birthday unforgettable. They were fun, knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely seemed just as excited about everything we saw as we were. If you’re in Key West and considering an excursion with Honest Eco, BOOK IT. This is such an awesome company and experience!! We booked the Dolphin Watch/Reef Snorkel/Sandbar trip and it was so awesome we ended up booking another for our last day of the trip - the Sunset, Snorkel and Sandbar. We lucked out and had Capt Libbie and Charlie both times. They were such a professional but kind and knowledgeable crew!! Charlie is true biological nerd and was great at not only identifying everything on, above, and under the water, but he could talk at length about them all. That, combined with the small tour sizes really made it a different (and far better!) experience than the typical packed party boat excursions. The company also has awesome values! They've got reef safe mineral sunscreen on board. They have stopped to remove trash floating in the water. 🌊🐬 An Absolutely Incredible Key West Eco Boat Experience! 🐬🌊 This was honestly one of the highlights of our time in Key West! From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely amazing. We started with a dolphin watch, where we were lucky enough to see several beautiful pods of dolphins swimming and playing in the wild. It was such a special way to begin the trip! Our Snorkel+Sandbar Sunset cruise was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. If you're looking for a snorkel trip with a smaller group of passengers and isn’t just a party barge, this is the trip for you. They do allow your own beverages on board, so you can definitely have some beers if you want them.  It was a relaxing ride with knowledgeable staff (Smalls, Sarah, and JP) and great snacks. They took us on a unique snorkel trip where we saw sting rays and permit. They helped guide passengers of our trip to areas of the reef where they were most likely to encounter wildlife that those passengers were most interested in seeing. Support Local!  These guys are awesome. We had Capt'n Mo and First Mate Charlie. Charlie is a marine biologist - I now know way more than I did about dolphins, sharks, fish, birds, you  name it, he knew it. We scouted for and found dolphins. We snorkled a reef and saw (4)8ft lemon sharks a 2 huge rays. We then hung out on a sandbar. They provided all the snorkle gear, had water for the trip, provided fruit and veggies and some really tasty hummus. It was laid back, fun and the smaller group (16) made it feel way more personal. Bucket list moment for my wife, she say a turtle in the water. Best snorkling expedition we have done in the last couple of decades. I can't over recommend these guys!

Everyone had an amazing time. Captain Dan and First Mate Haddon were absolutely incredible. They were warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel easy and special from start to finish. They were so great with both the adults and the kids, and you could really tell how much they care about what they do. Their love for the ocean and their knowledge of the area made the trip feel much more personal and meaningful. We also really appreciated the fresh fruit, veggies, hummus, and filtered water. Those thoughtful touches made such a difference and added to the relaxed, cared-for feeling of the whole outing. Easily the most well rounded tour in Key West! Captain Mo and Sara were the bomb.com!!!! I have done a load of snorkeling in my day and this was such a great, well rounded experience. Captain was so willing to explain her process and what she looks for when scouting for animals. Sara was so sweet and fun! Spotted eagle rays, dolphins, sting rays, barracuda, and (my personal favorite) a bonnet head shark!!! Sandbar was super fun! Next time, we’ll for sure bring some beverages and perhaps a lil float to enjoy. Would 100% do this exact tour again in the future! If you only have time or money for one boating excursion, absolutely pick this one. Small business, eco conscious, well rounded, and well run! Wowowowowoow! Such a great experience. You get what you pay for and we were BLOWN AWAY with all we did in 4 hours! Dolphins, snorkeling, sandbar, snacks, all of it. Worth your time and money Key West adventure Sav and Smalls, our guide and captain, are personable and knowledgeable about our sea life. Smalls found a sea biscuit he shared with those on the sandbar. Sav passed around veges and hummus, fruit during the boating. I had not snorkeled before but was able to watch and breathe under water without leaking or fogging of mask. Waters were clear. Honest Eco Tours did not disappoint! We went on the Squid boat for the dolphin watching, snorkeling, and sandbar excursion, and it was fantastic. Captain Dan was super cool, and Sarah, his first mate, was just as cool and funny too! We saw a couple of pods of dolphins during the dolphin-watching portion, and when we snorkeled, we saw nurse sharks, groupers, stingrays, barracudas, parrotfish, and a lot of other sea life. The sandbar was a perfect way to end the tour. We chilled out in the water, and Sarah brought us fresh fruit while we were in the water!! Talk about top-notch! We went out on the group tour at 2:30pm today - dolphins, snorkeling, sandbar. It was absolutely incredible! We saw so many dolphins. The snorkeling was a very unique experience and absolutely amazing!!! We used the sandbar time to do more snorkeling in the grasses at the edge of the sandbar. I loved every second of it! Booked the reef snorkel, sandbar, and sunset cruise and had a great time with Dan and Charlie! Those two love what they do and you can feel it. They were super informative and gave us all the fun facts about Key West and any fish we saw. It wasn’t drink focused which is exactly what we were looking for. A lot of the other options we saw relied heavily on the drinks but these guys don’t need drinks to have a good time. They had some refreshments on board but since you’re spending a good chunk of the day out there I’d recommend you bring some of your own. Best day in Key West An incredible four hours on the beautiful Key West waters with two amazing crew. We saw over 20 dolphins and baby dolphins. The snorkel portion at an incredible reef included seeing a loggerhead turtle, shark and many other tropical fish. And the last stop at a beautiful sand bar was complete with Sav serving us fresh fruit while we relaxed on the sandbar. Don’t miss this tour. It was true to its HonestEco name. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family of four had an amazing time with Honest Eco on the snorkeling, sandbar, and dolphin watching tour! There were only three groups on the boat, so it never felt crowded. From beginning to end, everything was well organized, and every moment was enjoyable. The boat was spotless and very well maintained. They also provided fresh fruit and vegetables, which were delicious after snorkeling. The crew was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome and safe throughout the trip. Everything about the tour was great, but the dolphin watching  definitely the highlight! Seeing dolphins in the wild was such a memorable experience, especially for our kids. If you’re visiting Key West with children, I can’t recommend this tour enough. Great crew and tour! We had a wonderful outing! Christina and Heather were our captain and first mate. They did an amazing job! They were friendly and informative. We got to get up close to about 20 dolphins who swam all around the boat! We had a great time snorkeling and even had a surprise stop at the end to swim at a sandbar. Best Water Excursion Key West This was the best experience we had while in Key West! Get out on the water! Dan and Charlie went out of their way to ensure we had a good time. Great for the family Our trip with Honest Eco Tours was one of the highlights of our vacation. The dolphin viewing, snorkeling, and sandbar experience was absolutely incredible. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, stingrays, sharks, terrapins, starfish, and an amazing variety of tropical fish. It felt like experiencing the Florida Keys the way they’re meant to be seen. Excellent snorkeling and sunset cruise with Honest Eco Our party of four had an amazing time on the snorkeling and sunset tour with Honest Eco Tours in Key West! It was easily one of the highlights of our week-long vacation. Captain Victor and First Mate Savannah were personable, incredibly knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. They took us to some fantastic snorkeling locations, including a sponge reef and part of the barrier reef, where we saw an incredible variety of marine life—stingrays, nurse sharks, rainbow parrotfish, and so much more. The snorkeling equipment was high quality and comfortable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One thing we especially appreciated was how committed the crew was to protecting the marine environment. Before we entered the water, they coached everyone on how to snorkel responsibly and avoid disturbing the reefs and marine life. It was clear they genuinely care about preserving this beautiful ecosystem for future visitors. They also anchored at a sandbar for about 30 minutes, giving us extra time to swim and explore. We found starfish, sea urchins, and several other fascinating sea creatures in the shallow water. The crew provided fresh fruit, vegetables, and ice water throughout the trip, and we were welcome to bring our own snacks as well. As the sun began to set, Savannah thoughtfully offered to take photos of each family and group on board. Those pictures are memories we'll treasure for years to come. If you're looking for a unique, small-group snorkeling adventure with a beautiful Key West sunset, I can't recommend Honest Eco Tours enough. Unforgettable dolphin, snorkel and sandbar adventure My husband and I just returned from the dolphin, snorkel, and sandbar tour, and it was truly phenomenal. We’ve been on many snorkeling tours throughout the Keys and the Caribbean, and this was by far the best. One of the first things we appreciated was the smaller group size—there were only about 14 people on our tour, which made the experience feel much more personal. Captain Andrew and first mate Sarah were incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything we encountered. About 20 minutes after leaving the marina, Captain Andrew spotted a pod of dolphins. We had the amazing opportunity to observe around 12 dolphins in their natural habitat. Andrew and Sarah shared fascinating information about dolphin biology and behavior, which made the experience even more meaningful. After about 30 minutes with the dolphins, we headed to our snorkeling spot. I wish I could remember the name, because it was absolutely beautiful. We saw several large southern stingrays, tarpon, and even a shark (either a nurse shark or a lemon shark). Some guests also spotted a loggerhead turtle! Sarah was in the water with us the entire time, offering guidance and making sure everyone felt comfortable. The crew was clearly attentive and safety-conscious throughout. We snorkeled for about an hour (maybe longer), then returned to the boat where we enjoyed fresh veggies and hummus. After that, we took a short ride to a sandbar and spent time relaxing and floating in the water—it was the perfect ending to the trip. This tour was truly the highlight of our Key West adventure. Nice way to spend an afternoon We booked the dolphin watch and snorkel tour but it was canceled due to not enough interest, so we were offered spots on the sunset sail. I have no complaints about the tour (other than we didn't see dolphins). Capt Dan and Heather were friendly, knowledgeable and safe. Water and fruit were provided, as well as coolers with ice for BYOB. There was ample time for snorkeling and additional time spent relaxing at the sandbar. Bast snorkeling and wildlife viewing tour in Florida! The Florida Keys are a beautiful and unique location, full of great food and amazing things to see and do. Captain Andrew and Sara took us on the best snorkeling adventure I’ve ever had. Along with watching dolphins, and a stop at a sandbar where you can stand in the warm water and marvel at the sea all around you for miles. We were treated to fresh fruit as we were relaxing in the water and reflecting on our wonderful experience. Best Key West Dolphin Tour! Just the best experience! The small group of only 12 guests made it really special! Captain Alexa and 1st mate Clair were so attentive and instructional. We had a great dolphin experience with about 2 dozen dolphins playing around the Squid catamaran, had a nice long snorkel trip at the Florida reef and enjoyed a nice sandbar swim. Priceless Experience We had the most incredible day taking our family out with Honest Eco for reef snorkeling, sandbar swimming, and sailing through sunset-drenched glassy waters. The thing about a day like this in the Keys is that it becomes one of those early memories that shapes a whole life, the kind a kid carries with them forever. That makes it priceless. We were so impressed by how every member of the crew took such care to connect with each guest, all with genuine energy and enthusiasm. Sarah, Sav, and Captain Andrew are just so lovely, and they made this trip so memorable for our family. They were wonderful teachers, sharing their love of marine biology and local history with all of us. You could tell this isn’t just a job for them, they genuinely care, and it rubs off on each of us and everyone on board. Because of their attentive approach, so many wonders along the reef were revealed to us, things we would have missed or never thought to stop and experience otherwise. We learned so much. The boat itself was part of the magic too. The number of guests is always limited, so the group feels intimate, with plenty of room to be comfortable. Highlight of our time in Key West-Must Do! This tour is a must! Our tour guides were very kind, talked to each of us, and answered any questions that we had. While we didn't see any dolphins at first, they made sure that we did later on in our tour. Snorkeling was a lot of fun adn very interactive in the water, as we were able to learn about what we were holding and even hold some organisms. The sandbar was a great experience as well! Can't wait to go again! This was my third time with Honest Eco! Whenever I want to snorkel, I think about this company first! This time around I did the Reef, Sandbar and Sunset Sail with Captain Smalls and First Mate Hadden. They both have a really great sense of humor. It was just a very relaxed and enjoyable trip. I loved the music playlist too, really added to the vibe. Overall I had a wonderful time! I saw lots of coral, fish and a sea biscuit. The sandbar was really cool too. A delightful snorkeling adventure Our afternoon to evening sail with snorkeling was just right ... Plenty of guidance and information, but not too much, keeping things light, friendly, and fun. All of the gear was clean and worked well. Windy conditions prevented standing on a sandbar or kayaking, so we got extra time snorkeling, and the biological preserve didn't disappoint with plentiful marine life. A Day To Rember! What an amazing experience. The mangroves that we travelled to were way offshore and as pristine as it gets. Our captain, Alexa got us there through a maze of sandbars and got us within kayaking distance. That is when our naturalist guide/biologist Jacki took over and describe the incredible wildlife we were sharing the mangroves with. Including the small sharks swimming around our kayaks. Afterwards we jumped in and had an amazing snorkel around the garden of sponges filled with all sorts of fish life. Review of Honest Eco Guided Snorkeling, Dolphin Watch and Sand Bar fun We went on the morning 4 hr trip to go snorkeling, then went to a sandbar in the middle of the Gulf and anchored, got to get out and hang out in the sandbar (waist deep water at that time) while there were other party boats around also enjoying the day! Then on the way back they took us to an area to see some dolphins playing. The crew: Captain Kristen and Marine / snorkeling guide, Heather were GREAT. The experience was amazing— snorkeling in an extensive coral reef, getting to watch a pod of dolphins, and even landing on a sandbar to relax and eat fresh fruit in the water.
