This is such an awesome company and experience!! We booked the Dolphin Watch/Reef Snorkel/Sandbar trip and it was so awesome we ended up booking another for our last day of the trip - the Sunset, Snorkel and Sandbar. We lucked out and had Capt Libbie and Charlie both times. They were such a professional but kind and knowledgeable crew!! Charlie is true biological nerd and was great at not only identifying everything on, above, and under the water, but he could talk at length about them all. That, combined with the small tour sizes really made it a different (and far better!) experience than the typical packed party boat excursions. The company also has awesome values! They've got reef safe mineral sunscreen on board. They have stopped to remove trash floating in the water. Smalls and Hadden were amazing. Both are so personable, knowledgeable and professional. Their attention to safety and preservation of the reef is so admirable. We saw sting rays, nurse sharks, parrot fish, groupers, starfish and so much more!! I went by myself and had such a wonderful time. Everyone was so friendly. Our Snorkel+Sandbar Sunset cruise was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. If you're looking for a snorkel trip with a smaller group of passengers and isn’t just a party barge, this is the trip for you. They do allow your own beverages on board, so you can definitely have some beers if you want them.  It was a relaxing ride with knowledgeable staff (Smalls, Sarah, and JP) and great snacks. They took us on a unique snorkel trip where we saw sting rays and permit. They helped guide passengers of our trip to areas of the reef where they were most likely to encounter wildlife that those passengers were most interested in seeing. Worth your time and money Key West adventure Sav and Smalls, our guide and captain, are personable and knowledgeable about our sea life. Smalls found a sea biscuit he shared with those on the sandbar. Sav passed around veges and hummus, fruit during the boating. I had not snorkeled before but was able to watch and breathe under water without leaking or fogging of mask. Waters were clear. Booked the reef snorkel, sandbar, and sunset cruise and had a great time with Dan and Charlie! Those two love what they do and you can feel it. They were super informative and gave us all the fun facts about Key West and any fish we saw. It wasn’t drink focused which is exactly what we were looking for. A lot of the other options we saw relied heavily on the drinks but these guys don’t need drinks to have a good time. They had some refreshments on board but since you’re spending a good chunk of the day out there I’d recommend you bring some of your own. Honest Eco was an amazing experience! We did the snorkel, sandbar, and sunset cruise for 4.5hrs. Dan and Charlie were absolutely amazing and so personable. Our boat had about 12 people on it and it was absolutely perfect for our last night in Key West. High recommended, Charlie took us to all the good snorkel spots at the reef. We saw a shark, two stingrays, a lobster, goliath grouper, many fish, and got to hold a sea urchin! Best experience for my first time snorkeling. These guys are the best! Within minutes of setting sail we were with a dolphin… gentle and kind energy exactly like the honest eco crew! Always welcoming … whenever I visit key west I never miss an opportunity to be on one of their boats! Sunset sails and snorkel dolphin watching are my go to’s but they now have added a sandbar one too and have always offered private charters. Highly recommend … today was perfect start to finish… and while it’s difficult to top the dolphins I did… a giant loggerhead turtle cruised alongside me while I was snorkeling… talk about amazing! Don’t miss a chance to enjoy an honest eco tour when you visit Key West! This private outing was a highlight of our keys get away! Honest Eco’s Cowfish was moored right behind Waterfront Brewery for easy access from Old Town. Victor our captain, skillfully guided us to a beautiful sandbar far away from the large tour boats. If you’re looking for an unforgettable snorkeling experience in Key West, look no further than Honest Eco! From the moment we stepped aboard, Captain Dan and Charlie made us feel welcome. Captain Dan was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire trip feel relaxed and enjoyable. Charlie, the deckhand and marine biologist, was truly exceptional. He got into the water with everyone, explained everything there is to know about snorkeling, and took the time to speak with each guest individually. His passion for marine life and genuine enthusiasm made the experience so much more meaningful. We were lucky enough to hold a live starfish and see beautiful marine life, including a blue tang and many other tropical fish. Having Charlie in the water with us made all the difference, as he pointed out species we would have otherwise missed and explained what we were seeing. He also shared how important it is to respect the ocean and its marine life so these incredible reefs and creatures can be enjoyed by future visitors for years to come. That message really stayed with us. One thing that really impressed us was that they tailored the trip to the guests on board. They chose the snorkeling location based on everyone’s experience level, making sure everyone felt comfortable and had the best possible experience. We never felt rushed and we spent well over an hour snorkeling, giving us plenty of time to explore and enjoy the reefs. They also served fresh organic fruits and vegetables, which were a delicious and refreshing treat between stops. The sandbar was absolutely beautiful and the perfect place to relax. To top it all off, we thought the cloud cover was going to keep us from seeing a sunset, but nature had other plans. The sky suddenly transformed into the most breathtaking shades of pink, purple, and orange. It was one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen. With only 14 people on board, the tour felt personal, intimate, and never crowded. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. If you’re visiting Key West and want an eco-friendly snorkeling adventure with an amazing crew that truly cares about their guests and the environment, I can’t recommend Honest Eco enough. Excellent snorkeling and sunset cruise with Honest Eco Our party of four had an amazing time on the snorkeling and sunset tour with Honest Eco Tours in Key West! It was easily one of the highlights of our week-long vacation. Captain Victor and First Mate Savannah were personable, incredibly knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. They took us to some fantastic snorkeling locations, including a sponge reef and part of the barrier reef, where we saw an incredible variety of marine life—stingrays, nurse sharks, rainbow parrotfish, and so much more. The snorkeling equipment was high quality and comfortable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One thing we especially appreciated was how committed the crew was to protecting the marine environment. Before we entered the water, they coached everyone on how to snorkel responsibly and avoid disturbing the reefs and marine life. It was clear they genuinely care about preserving this beautiful ecosystem for future visitors. They also anchored at a sandbar for about 30 minutes, giving us extra time to swim and explore. We found starfish, sea urchins, and several other fascinating sea creatures in the shallow water. The crew provided fresh fruit, vegetables, and ice water throughout the trip, and we were welcome to bring our own snacks as well. As the sun began to set, Savannah thoughtfully offered to take photos of each family and group on board. Those pictures are memories we'll treasure for years to come. If you're looking for a unique, small-group snorkeling adventure with a beautiful Key West sunset, I can't recommend Honest Eco Tours enough. Nice way to spend an afternoon We booked the dolphin watch and snorkel tour but it was canceled due to not enough interest, so we were offered spots on the sunset sail. I have no complaints about the tour (other than we didn't see dolphins). Capt Dan and Heather were friendly, knowledgeable and safe. Water and fruit were provided, as well as coolers with ice for BYOB. There was ample time for snorkeling and additional time spent relaxing at the sandbar. Priceless Experience We had the most incredible day taking our family out with Honest Eco for reef snorkeling, sandbar swimming, and sailing through sunset-drenched glassy waters. The thing about a day like this in the Keys is that it becomes one of those early memories that shapes a whole life, the kind a kid carries with them forever. That makes it priceless. We were so impressed by how every member of the crew took such care to connect with each guest, all with genuine energy and enthusiasm. Sarah, Sav, and Captain Andrew are just so lovely, and they made this trip so memorable for our family. They were wonderful teachers, sharing their love of marine biology and local history with all of us. You could tell this isn’t just a job for them, they genuinely care, and it rubs off on each of us and everyone on board. Because of their attentive approach, so many wonders along the reef were revealed to us, things we would have missed or never thought to stop and experience otherwise. We learned so much. The boat itself was part of the magic too. The number of guests is always limited, so the group feels intimate, with plenty of room to be comfortable. Can't wait to go again! This was my third time with Honest Eco! Whenever I want to snorkel, I think about this company first! This time around I did the Reef, Sandbar and Sunset Sail with Captain Smalls and First Mate Hadden. They both have a really great sense of humor. It was just a very relaxed and enjoyable trip. I loved the music playlist too, really added to the vibe. Overall I had a wonderful time! I saw lots of coral, fish and a sea biscuit. The sandbar was really cool too. Wonderful Dolphin Watch and Sunset Sail - awesome Company! So glad I booked our Dolphin and Sunset Cruise with Honest Eco. This is not a party boat outfit - it is a laid back yet so fun experience. Our Captain Dan and guide Jackie were awesome! It was obvious from the minute we stepped foot on the comfortable spacious catamaran that safety, our comfort, and providing us with a special experience were important to them. We were a small group of only 10 of us which allowed for a personalized experience. The focus of the sailing was the wildlife followed by a gorgeous sunset. This is a company that cares about and loves these beautiful creatures as evidenced by the way Jackie and Dan talked about them. A Must-Do in Key West! My mom, sister, and I had the most amazing time hanging out with Brian and Dan today on the guided kayak/snorkel trip. Not only did we see amazing views and wildlife but our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and fun! They were so excited to share tons of info and show their love for the ecosystems surrounding Key West. They scoped out the coolest spots for us to kayak through (literally through!) the mangroves and the snorkeling location was absolutely amazing! We even got to see Dolphins on the way back to town which wasn’t even planned for our excursion. If you are looking for a friendly, family-owned team to take you out on the water in the Keys, whether it’s the snorkel, dolphin tour or sunset cruise, please use Honest Eco! This sunset/dolphin tour was beautiful and relaxing. We had wonderful/knowledgeable tour guides. We really enjoyed this tour , but we only saw a few dolphins from quite a distance. This was not at all the fault of Honest Eco, it was a very rough day on the water. We also did not have much of a sunset due to clouds, but there again, not something that could have been helped. We did however, really enjoy cruising along on the catamaran and the fresh veggies with hummus was amazing, along with some delicious fresh fruit later on. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the birds we encountered and educated us about dolphins. We learned some very interesting things. We saw some neat sites and beautiful scenery. My daughter was barefoot and cut her heel on the boat. The tour guides were quick reacting with a first aid kit and even offered to return us to shore. We declined and finished the tour. We were very happy that they cared so much for our daughter’s well being. I wish our trip could have been longer so we could have maybe changed our date to a less windy/cloudy day. Captain Libby & Naturalist, Charlie were an incredible team…so fun and knowledgable about the area and local species! They served delicious organic veggies, hummus & fruit, plus had filtered water available. We had a lovely time and saw many dolphins, including a mama & baby. We also watched dolphins jump as a cruise was leaving port. SO very special!! Loved having a smaller, intimate group, not like some of the large, loud boats we saw. Peaceful and informative This cruise was delightful and informative on a beautiful late afternoon—the captain and crew made sure all our needs were met and let us know what to expect. We enjoyed fresh fruit and veggies while Haddon (our resident scientist) explained what the dolphins were up to and what makes them unique to this area. Suncerely Splendid Snorkeling soirée! Was a fabulous day with Kristen and Sam on the boat. Saw countless dolphins! Had a great time snorkeling—saw so many fish and vibrant reef. Kristen and Sam were eager to accommodate and their fresh fruit and veggies and hummus was the perfect snack for an afternoon on the water. Definitely use Honest Eco It was an amazing 3 hours on board with Alexa and Jackie!They were so knowledgeable about the waterways and especially the dolphins! I live in Delaware and I go out on tours a few times a year to see dolphins and never half of what I learned today!Courteous, funny and accommodating! 2 very smart women! Sunset trip with dolphins Wanted to have a trip out and to see the sunset away from the crowds by the harbour, we also had an added benefit of seeing some wildlife.We turned up early, no need to turn up before 15 minutes before departure so wandered around the harbour which has some nice shops and bars.The boat departed on time with 8 of us on board.I can’t recall the name of the skipper but his assistant was Heather. (We were on the Weds 12 Nov trip).We did see several dolphins on the trip, it was good that they didn’t chase or harass them so we could get a better view. The skipper took us sailing for a while and throughout the trip we had facts around the animals and key west including the two Air BNB floating rooms out at sea.Food (nice fruit) and water was provided and you could use the coolers to put your own drinks in if you wished.It ended coming back in along the harbour side past everyone looking at the sunset which was quite funny.Well worth the cost paid, excellent staff.Thank you

Went on the Honest Eco sunset cruise and dolphin sighting excursion this evening. Could not have been more perfect. Captain Smalls and first mate Ryan did a great job. The trip was everything we hoped for. We were not interested in a loud "booze cruise". This fit the bill. Small boat, entertaining and informative crew. We had a group of five go on a sunset cruise Friday March 1st. The captain and crew were welcoming and very knowledgeable making for a great cruise.  The company also booked a musician, Jack Wolf, who played some original songs in addition to covers; loved Willin' by Little Feat. My family of four had a spectacular afternoon with the Honest Eco team aboard the catamaran. Our group saw a large pod of dolphins and had a blast watching them frolic in the serene waters off of Key West. Next, we had a chance to snorkel which was honestly not quite as great as I had hoped. The area had some sunk structures with lobsters, but it wasn't the most beautiful area for diving. Still, they equipped us well and we made the most of what we had. The crew was really exceptional. Christine was our host and worked hard to share information and make sure everyone was having a great time. They fed us with fresh veggies and fruit and had water in reusable containers at the ready. The highlight for me was the cruise into port at sunset. While the masses crowded onto Mallory Square we coasted through and enjoyed the spectacular view from the water. It was breathtaking! Did a 4 hour snorkel and dolphin watch with Captain Eric and First Mate Brian on Squid. They are fantastic. Incredibly friendly, fun, and so knowledgeable about everything about the boat (electric, I believe the only electric boat tour company in Key West!) but also about the reefs, snorkeling, dolphins-they know them by markings and have names! No plastic, all of the food served was on real plates, no plastic cups or silverware. This company lives up to their name....hyper focused on being environmentally friendly and providing a fabulous time!!! We saw a bunch of dolphins, tons of fish and other sea life. Brian snorkeled with us and pointed to everything he saw to make sure no one missed a lobster, fish, conch, you name it! Loved to hear about Captain Eric's 30+ years working on boats in Key West and elsewhere was incredible to hear about. 5 stars! If you want an awesome experience while in key west I highly recommend! It’s a 4 hour experience, we did the 2-6 timing and saw dolphins up close. Our guides gave us many information about the wildlife and key west’s oceanic life. We did 2 trips. They do smaller groups. The staff is awesome! They educate you on the area and snorkel with you to help spot wildlife. We did the dolphin watch and snorkel trip. Saw several dolphin and a couple swam right next to the boat. When snorkeling we saw a nurse shark, tarpon, lobster and many species of fish. The 2nd trip was the snorkel and sunset sail. What a delightful adventure with Captain Jessie and Rachel this evening in Key West. We were looking for a non liquor oriented sunset cruise and we found the Sunset & Dolphin cruise from Honest Eco . This eco tour outing was much better! As it turned out, there was only one other couple in addition to my husband and I and there was 4 staff that day ... so a great ratio! Also, it's obvious that they really care about the ocean and sea life and shared lots of info. about the dolphins and other things we were seeing. The boat was great too! It's an electric boat, so quieter, and was also spacious, comfortable and offered shade and sun. It was nice having a bathroom on board, and also a fresh water shower hose for after snorkeling. They served delicious, healthy snacks and water as well. We even got to watch the sunset on our way back in! The snorkeling was fun ... and Jesse and Rachel came in with us and pointed things out.  We did see various corals, sponges and fish ... but we didn't find the visibility or the interest level of oceanlife as good as other Caribbean & Mexican places that we've snorkeled in. Not sure if that was just our day, or if the Keys snorkeling isn't as good as some of these other places. I'm so glad i decided to take the dolphin watching/snorkeling tour with Brady and Bella. Brady is the Captain and Bella is the first mate. These two really make you feel comfortable and welcome. Bella was fantastic!! So kind and full of knowledge about the ecosystem, marine life, geology and so much more. I feel as if I could have talked to her and Brady for hours. They are both so passionate about conservation and sharing their knowledge about marine biology. You can really tell that they wake up every day and love what they do! There aren't a lot of people that put that much heart into their work. These folks truly do!! My husband and I had never been snorkeling and it was a wonderful experience. We saw a few moray eels, a Lion fish, schools of grouper, snapper fish, along with sponges, and coral. It was an amazing experience that I would do over and over again! I'm so thankful I decided to check out this trip! It was beautiful and peaceful. I can't rave enough about Brady and Bella. We even were able to watch the sunset on our afternoon trip. My first time snorkeling and I was so apprehensive.  I made it! I enjoyed it so much! We had only 6 people plus the captain and first mate.  We had a geographical lesson o.  Florida keys, some history, fresh organic apples for a snack, we chased dolphins (in a very safe way to not disturb them), we have fresh veggies, we arrived at our estimation to snorkel, they provided everything for that including wet suites, we searched for fish and other friends in the ocean. Brady, took underwater photos of everything we found so we could just experience everything for our selves.  As we each located things we shared with each other.  We saw a stingray, a triggerfish, several lobsters, moray eels, giant sponges and many tropical fish.  The boat is totally run by solar, quick and very spacious.  After snorkeling we enjoyed a fresh fruit platter and they provided towels and blankets.  You could also hose off all of the salt water if needed.  We rested on the way home and enjoyed the beautiful sunset.  I also saw a larger stingray jumping out of the water headed back.  What a treat! I was looking for a getaway day in nature.
